Get to know me!

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am the owner and primary Floral Designer here at Flowers by Jennifer! I have always been a nature lover and HUGE fan of flowers all my life. I wanted to share a bit about my background and what led me to this chapter.

I have been a professional working artist in the arts for the last 25 years, and have always been drawn creatively to many different artistic mediums. I enjoy painting, singing, acting, teaching, wire wrapping...you name it! When I began dabbling in creative floral design it originally started as a form of self care and therapy in early 2022. I needed an outlet to calm my soul and my mind, so I turned to gardening then gardening turned into arrangements, arrangements turned into art...you get the picture!

I recalled one of my first jobs assisting in a small floral shop when I was 18 and thought how serendipitous it was that it found me again. I decided I wanted to engulf myself a bit more then the basics I had picked up, so I began helping out a life long friend of mine at his local flower farm in 2022. I would help him make fresh wrapped bouquets, talk about flowers and planting ect. I quickly realized that not only did I love designing, but I loved learning about flowers, how to grow them, and how precious it is to offer fresh locally grown flowers in my bouquets. I struck up a partnership with their farm "Blue Violet Botanicals" and began creating artistic arrangements with flowers from their garden...people LOVED them. It didn't take long for me to put the pieces together and realize what was happening. So, I allowed myself to go with the flow and ride the wave as my business began to unfold.... I am so happy to see where we are today.

My artistic background has guided me along the way, and with my experience comes knowledge and confidence to not only designing your florals but also in assisting you by designing your whole event!

I get to create quality artistic bouquets with fresh flowers everyday, provide florals for high end events and weddings, I have a great relationship with a local farm using locally grown blooms during the spring, summer and fall season, I get to assist in the execution of your day and design large visions! The best part, by offering all of these services, It has continued to heal people with art and nature the way it has helped heal me.

I look at each arrangement and event as one of a kind art pieces. Little sculptures designed from my heart with all the loving intentions of the moment. It is an honor to be a part of these moments, and I continue to be so grateful. :)
