For those of you planning your wedding, this is for you!

There are so many factors to think about when planning your wedding flowers. First and foremost, finding a floral artist that vibes with you, your style and understands your vision. Once you lock that in, the rest should be a breeze!

Often times, clients will give a rough idea of what they are looking for, and let the artist do the rest! However, having a hand in what flowers you might like in your designs might sound appealing to you but also, it is important for you to understand why season matters when it comes to your budget.

Why is seasonality important? Well, short answer- COST. Depending on what florals are used for your designs, determines the overall cost of your floral budget. So, if you are looking for a bouquet of peonies in the heart of winter, either A) it won't happen or B) The cost of your bouquet just jumped up significantly. Peonies are a late spring. early summer flower, so trying to source them any other time of the year is not easy and sometimes impossible. Especially depending on what part of the country you live as well.

So, when you start thinking about your next floral purchase, do your research! Mums in the fall! Cedar in the winter! Be mindful of that! The cost of 1 bouquet or design is not linear, and may be different than another.

Happy planning!
